Apologies!! We tried to send this video yesterday but had some problems with our sending service. Also note that although there has been a break for some months since the last video, we do hope to get back on a somewhat regular schedule of videos! Enjoy!
In the Gospel from last weekend, Jesus asks his disciples the question, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter says, “You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” Jesus asks this question to each of us too…
In a very real way, the way that we live our life is our answer to that question. Do we make faith the central focus in our lives so that we may answer that question well?
This week is the beginning of a new season of Faith Formation for our children, our adolescents, and also for adults.
We need to make it a priority to teach our children to put faith at the center of their lives. Enrolling them in our Child and Family Faith formation program (grades 1 – Confirmation) is a wonderful way to do that – and it begins this Wednesday. There are also opportunities for very young families (birth – age 5) as well as.
Of course it is easy to focus on faith formation for children, but continuing development of our faith as adults is also very important. We have great opportunities to feed our adult faith here at OLL as well. Of course the Eucharaist and the Sacraments feed our faith tremendously, but we also have a great library in our church, a bible study on the Mass (which
begins today began yesterday for the evening option and tomorrow earlier today for the afternoon option), and finally we also have RCIA beginning this Thursday which is a wonderful opportunity to grow in the Catholic faith – either for those who are wishing to become Catholic or for those who already are but wish to grow in their faith.
Father Tony encourages each of us to make our faith a priority for ourselves and especially for our children!
